Relevant to the transfers of Scottish Mutual Assurance Limited and Scottish Provident Limited business to Phoenix Life Limited.

A more comprehensive draft document, that describes how we will manage the Phoenix Life Limited with profits funds, called the 'Principles and Practices of Financial Management' (PPFM), is also made available below along with extracts in relation to the Phoenix Life Limited 90% With-Profits Fund and Scottish Mutual With-Profits Fund and the SPI With-Profits Fund. These documents explain how the with profits funds of Phoenix Life Limited will be managed. These drafts are current as of 8 August 2008 but are subject to change up until 29 December 2008 and will come into effect from 30 December 2008 should the High Court approve the transfers.

These documents are the draft guides to how we will manage the existing Phoenix Life Limited 90% With-Profits Fund and the new with profits funds for the different groups of Scottish Mutual and Scottish Provident with profits policyholders transferring to Phoenix Life Limited. These drafts are current as of 8 August 2008 but are subject to change and will come into effect from 30 December 2008 should the High Court approve the transfer.
